Toeses and Tails Tuesday........Kassey

Mom says I'm an odd cat. I will not put all fours on the rug while I eat. And it duzn't
matter where the rug is.

Gotta Outsmart This Cat....LOL, etc.

The folding thingy didn't work. This girl is gonna have her
way. I've thought about keeping her awake as much as possible
during the day. And maybe forcibly putting her harness and leach
on and going for a walk. She has been needing extra loving lately
but it has to be her way. no picking up.
Somethings gotta change, coz she's way too smart for me. She left
me an uncovered gift this morning, unusual for her. Maybe her potty
needed checking during the night, so I'll have to start checking when
she starts misbehaving during the night. She had made 3 deposits last
night. I always make sure it's cleaned before bed time. And we do turn
in pretty early as she expects.
It's gonna be hot, hot again today and no rain in sight. I keep thinking
about the awful Irene and the trouble she has caused so many people.
God bless those people and the animals affected by this.

Same Old Stuff.....Kassey

We had a nice weekend and disagreed on the blinds a lot.
Mom kept putting me out of the bedroom and closing the
door. Of course, in the morning she tells me she's sorry
for locking me out. I always forgive her acause I love her.
She told me today that she has a solution to our problem.
She's gonna put a folding thingy between our bed and the
window, allowing me to stay on guard. She'll raise the blinds
higher too, thinking this will help.
"Thanks, Mom," I said.

Things I Missed.....Kassey

Mama bird appeared after baby flew to the window.

I wondered if baby was looking for a bug.

This lady came down the parking lot and the maintenance man waved her back , probably telling her where she'd find a handicap entrance to the walk. She visited the lady next door. I thought she was so cute. This lady is in her 90's , someone told me.

Mom :   Kassey was in her bedroom and I called her but she wasn't interested. She also missed the rabbit
that ran away as I fed the birds. She only got up when the door was opened.

Wordless Wednesday Until......Kassey

Mom said the pest man was coming and I thought I'd get a nice undisturbed nap....until
she pulled out the noisy sucky monster. Mom thought I wasn't afraid of it anymore. Well,
she was wrong. MOL. She saw me crouched and told me to stay acause she had to get
the flashy box. Silly Mom. I'm not moving  while that sucky monster sucks

it's way through my room.

Happy Accident.....Lemony Goodness

in the kitchen after making home-made buttermilk. I had
almost a 1/2 gallon of 1% milk and dumped Lemon Juice in it
to make buttermilk. I seldom measure things like this.

I decided to make my pound cake recipe using 1/2 recipe, not
realizing that I was too short on my self-rising flour. I then cut
the recipe another 1/2, making it a 1/4 measurement of the full
recipe.( I used honey instead of sugar and olive oil instead of
good old butter.)

This turned out to be a very lemony, wonderful surprise. Of
course, I doubt I can use this buttermilk to make biscuits. But,
it will make delish waffles and pancakes, cookies,etc.
The last piece was spread with vanilla yogurt sprinkled with
cinnamon.....ummmm...Recipe follows :

2 1/2 c. Self-Rising Flour
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
350   25-30 minutes.

I'm picky I know. Mom put my pillow up here, but I
wouldn't use it acause I prefur my furry cube. She hasn't figured out how to de-fur it yet.
I have no privacy here either as you see.
Ok, Mom, I said, 'What do you want?" Of course
she wanted nothing, just to check on me.
