Out-Foxed By A Naughty Cat........Kassey
She says I've been naughty but I want what I want 'now'. Yesterday morning,
I tried to get her up for my breakfast. It didn't matter that I had food in
my dish, she'd had enough sleep. I tried to paw at the blinds, but they were
out of my reach. She thought this would stop me, but I jumped on her pillow
and walked across , then jumped down where her clock was plugged in. She
saw me grabbing at the wire. Of course, she told me 'No, Kassey'. I wasn't
really going to catch it in my mouth as I always pretend to do. This always works
because, she said, 'OK, I'm getting up.'
I guess my days and nights are backwards. I slept during the day, so I was
not ready for bed when she was. I kept doing my usual manipulations, but she
said if I didn't stop, she'd make me leave the room. Hah, 'leave the room'! How
could she make me leave the room? I guess she was serious. When she got up, I
thought she's do what I wanted......no, she closed the door behind me. I pawed
the door several times, but she made me sleep somewhere else.
Actually, I think my schedule was changed because she has been getting offline
earlier and going to bed. I hear the laptop close, so I get my midnight snack and
I'm ready to go to the bedroom and get in bed after I sit by the window for awhile.
And to make her happy, I've been sleeping on her bed. We'll see how tonight goes.
Be good kitties and stay out of trouble.
Blessings Always, Kassey
Kassey, be nice to mommy as she need to get her proper rest.
ReplyDeleteI will be a good kitty and YOU be one too, Kassey on accounta we have to let our humans sleep some. I got messed up and got mommy up 45 minutes early 3 mornings in a row. I have to blame my watch 'cause the sun isn't even making the room light yet. She doesn't like that one bit.
ReplyDeleteKassey, thank you so much for stopping by to visit us - it's so very nice to meet you! I, Zoe, was giggling when I read this post, because I could see my mom's face while she read it... You do the exact same things I do, and I get in trouble all the time! I always act like I'm going to bite cords, but I never do - I just like to play with them. Oh, and if she tries to shut me out of a room, I get L-O-U-D!!! So, I always win!!! hahaha
ReplyDeleteYour new friend, Zoe (oh and Fuzzy, too, but she's a good girl - no fun!)
Thing 1 and Thing 2 sleep both day and night. It's the dog that wakes us up at night to go outside to potty. And I thought I was through with getting up during the night.
ReplyDeleteKassey you really must let your Mom sleep. Old Basil keeps me awake at night, he's become very demanding now that he's old and I have to keep his food in my bedroom so the other cats can't eat his special K/D prescription food. When the other cats come in my room which is every night, I have to hide his dish of food in the nightstand drawer so they don't eat it up on him, consequently, Basil wakes me up frequently throughout the night with pats, (more like swats) on the shoulder and loud meows in my ear. He will sit on my pillow giving me the evil eye until I wake up and give him his food, he's one of those cats who prefers to graze throughout the day and night rather than have mealtime. I'm getting quite sleep deprived and cranky. So remember Kassey, we Moms need our sleep.
ReplyDeleteKassey, this is Snickers...my mom doesn't like me waking her up either. You'd think they could take naps whenever like we do.
ReplyDeleteI think that all sounds pretty normal, especially trying to reach the blinds!
ReplyDeleteHa ha ....I have often wondered what it would be like if my cat spoke, although she used to speak to me in her way and some how we did understand eachother.......So all i can say is .....Way to go Kassey
ReplyDeleteOne of my boys jump on my face instead of pillow like you do...
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you make your mom very happy when you sleep on her bed with her :-)

You are wise to let your Mom have a rest ..I don't understand how you became a night owl that you need to fixed it up and back to normal way..
ReplyDeleteYou try to be a nice to your Mum good girl:-)
Wildflower when she slept in the room had me getting up all night letting her in and out. As we have to keep the door closed to kept the heat out from the stove down below. We our other cat Sirun took over the bedroom 1 year ago. He is content to come and and stays asleep all night and is still in the bed when we get out. Wildlfower had the bedroom for over 12 years and I never got a good nights sleep. As much as I love her, I am so glad she isn't in there any more. Kassey you so have to change you sleeping habits. WE need our sleep too. Hugs Carrie
