Sweet Kassey Is At The Bridge

Some of you already know that my Kassey flew away on September 23. I tried to post
to no avail. Katie Isabella's Mom posted for me. For this, I'm so grateful.
I know it was a shock after my last post, but my Internet, etc, wouldn't permit me.
It's still so very hard to accept.
I saw that she was slipping away as she barely touched her food.
I had her cremated and I have her ashes close by.
I was grateful to have her for almost 6 years. Her Gotcha Day was October 23, 2007.
For those of you who already visited and commented, thank you for being there for me.
I plan to keep this blog, but may change it in some way, don't know how just yet.
Maybe after awhile I can think about rescuing another kitty. But now, the void is too
great with heartbreak.

  1. Please give yourself the time and space your grief needs. It's unbearably hard on the heart and soul, to lose a beloved companion, and we all understand.

Sending you universal Light for peace; purrs from Nicki and Derry.

  7. We quite understand how you feel.
She came into your heart one day,
    so beautiful and smart,
    A dear and sweet companion
You loved her from the start.
And though you knew the time would come,
When you would have to part,
    She'l never be forgotten,
She has left pawprints on your heart.
We love you and purray for strength for you

  18. We are so very sorry to read that Kassey has gone. We read about it before on Katie Isabella's blog and we tried to leave you a message but, for some reason, it didn't work! Our Mummy also left you a message on Facebook, but we don't know if you got it. Mummy had very leaky eyes when she got the news. Kassey was one of Possum and Pixie's oldest friends, and she was also one of Our first friends in the Blogosphere. Now she and they are playing together again, at the Bridge. Mummy says she knows how much you are grieving - but we hope that, one day, Sweet Kassey will send you another little kitty who needs a loving heart to fill,to comfort you, just as Possum and Pixie sent Us. At any rate, We all hope you will keep up this blog, in Kassey's memory.
Hugs and headbutts from Trixie, Caspurr and Mummy Shimona

  20. I am very very sorry for your loss of Kassey. It is something that is so hard and so hard to make anyone else understand. The loss is so great of such a small beloved companion. Words are of little comfort, nothing is of comfort, honestly. Time will wear down the rougher edges OS the loss but it to is of no comfort. I hope the love you have will keep your heart full and that it will bring healing. You can rest knowing Kassey was well loved and she shared so much with you.

  23. I am so sorry to read this...I hope by the time you get to read this your pain may not be quite so acute as it would be right at that moment. Saying goodbye for the last time is the hardest and most heartbreaking pain. I hope that you are bearing up...and in the meantime...biggest of big hugs.
