Andy and Sheila together got the pill down me . I kept spitting it out but he kept on til he got it down. It tasted real bad. And they will do it again today. Mom has a pill crusher and will try to mix it with butter or sumpin acause surely they can't come effuryday.....mol

ReplyDeleteSo sorry Kassey. Sometimes it's tough when those who love have do such things to help you. We used to have to do that to a dog we had as he wouldn't take his meds either.
ReplyDeleteOh Kassey! Hissy Old Licorice used to hate to take his pills. Mommy and Daddy would crush them up and mix them with a little clam juice (yous can by it in a bottle in some grocery stores) and then squirt it down his throat. He loved it!

Oh, those pills are no fun! We've rarely had to take any but we love the little pill pockets!
ReplyDeleteOh, Kassey, poor baby. Annie would drool too, with certain medication, because of the bad taste. What about pill pockets? You can take a bit of the pill pocket, maybe half, and form it around the pill to get the pill down more easily (unless you like pill pockets and will swallow them with the pill in it). Or try that plus roll the pill pocked in crushed up Temptations.

ReplyDeleteOh Kassey, I feel so bad for you, dribbling ropes of foam! Here's how I pill my furkids: I get them upside down in my lap (or Scott holds them like a baby) and I open up their mouth with my left hand and scoot the pill down in with my right, or the pill shooter, depending on who's getting pilled. If you blow in their nostrils they reflexively swallow. And I always give a treat afterwards.

ReplyDeletemy best investment was a pill "gun" which is a syringe with pill at end-SO much easier-pops it down throat.
ReplyDeleteOh dear that brings back memories Kassey, I had a cat once, and she was you-si-luss at givng pills, dogs are much easier. she just plonks them on a bit of toothpaste cheese, you know the stuff that comes out of a tube, and poof! you don't see no pill anymore.
