Never Thought I Would...but

Sunday, I called T-Mobile and after a few Questions, I
added text to my phone. I just have the small cell phone
and it's working out as I text the two Sons that have it. I
only do short messages so far. I'm slow but I'll get there.
It was $ 10 added to my existing account and she said if
I didn't like it, just call and they'd remove it with no penalty.
I asked if I had a time limit and she said no...... good news.

I don't see how anyone can even consider texting while
driving. I'd never try walking in my apartment while texting,
no need to stumble over Kassey or bump into walls or get
wrapped up in a rug. A silly scenario but if one has the habit
bad enough, one can only imagine the pitfalls. It reminds me
of the woman at the mall who fell into the pool of water. Can
you imagine reading the news about a 'text addicted' Senior
getting hit by a car  while walking to her mailbox.? This is a
new kink for me and  I'll be sensible.

It's cloudy and we got a little shower and we're supposed to
get snow later today or night, not sure. It's in the 40's and dismal,
getting darker at 11:45 AM. And Kassey demands my attention.
Have a blessed Monday everyone.

  1. I still have never even owned a cellphone...I guess it's hard to know what I'm missing though I do have an i-touch which is very much like an i-phone...is use it for e-mail on the go on occasion and don't mind that so much though I'd rather have a real keyboard as opposed to a virtual one. We are seeing the winter storm warning come to pass here with a a lot of snow set to keep going through midnight tonight...I sure hope this is the last big storm of the season but even as I say that I don't think so.

  2. I do a little texting but not much. I have thought occasionally to get a texting package but just haven't.

Kassey would NOT like being tripped over. :-)

  3. It's scary what some people will do while driving isn't it? It's illegal to use your cell phone while driving here in Saskatchewan Canada. Not that people still don't do it. :(

Have fun texting ~ safely! :)

  4. I don't have a cell phone other than a trac phone that's for when we take a trip. Or if one of us leaves we take it...just in case.
We had some snow here shortly before dark. Enough to cover the ground. Not much more expected. Thankfully!

  5. I have to admit that I am a fan of texting - but for one main reason. When I need something picked up I can put exactly what I want - be it take out, or groceries or whatever. My boyfriend is bad about remembering things and it makes it more likely he will get it correct (and he still messes it up even with texts). I would never even consider texting and driving - I don't even take my phone out of my purse in the car because I am not even good at dialing and driving!

  7. Wooo, you're really coming into the modern world GR Gran ;-)) I've got a very basic phone a mobile as we call them. I text a little and use it a little as it's really only for emergencies. It's against the law to use it while driving, and you get heavy fines, rightly so.
Our weather is improving thankfully, but winter's not over yet and it can easily turn again. I hope your snow isn't too much of an inconvenience. and Kassey keeps her little paws warm.

  8. I have a cell phone, but nothing fancy on it. No internet and I can text but don't. We have snow coming again tomorrow. Hope you stay warm and safe. Hugs for you and nose kisses for Kassey.

  10. It is very scary that some people text while driving. It is dangerous for not only themselves but also us driving near these people or walking near by. Kassey will be so upset if you step on her while texting, but she is happy that you are not that kind of person :-) Hope you like this new feature though!

  11. My humans have very basic Go Phones, they put $25 of time on them every 3 months. They can text for that too, if they want to. Now here's a thought: how about CATS texting without any thumbs?
