Bogus Emails From Msn ?

I RECEIVED TWO THREATHENING EMAILS SUPPOSEDLY FROM MSN
THEY WANTED ME TO CONFIRM THAT THIS IS MY SPACE AND ASKED
FOR MY PERSONAL INFO INCLUDING MY PASSWORD. ALSO, IF I DIDN'T
REPLY WITHING 24 HRS. THAT MY SPACE WOULD BE DEACTIVATED.
IT SAID MINE WAS AMONG SOME THAT ARE TO BE DE- ACTIVATED.
THIS WAS 9/23/10. I WAS WONDERING IF ANY OF YOU GOT THIS. I AM
COPYING AS FAST AS I CAN ALL MY BLOGS TO THE BLOGGER. I'VE
HAD ENOUGH OF THIS PLACE. WE ARE GETTING A LITTLE RAIN ,
YIPPEE. I HOPE EVERYONE'S HAVING A GOOD SATURDAY.
 BLESSINGS ALWAYS

  1. Do not panic. AOL said basically the same thing to me months ago. Only it wasn't them. You are being scammed. Your on line email account or what ever you want to call it will never ask you for personal information. Call them on their 800 number. They will verify that they won't do this and they will track your nasty scarey email. Do not release info on line. Once again, call their 800 number.
Someone tried to scam me, too, as I said. And years ago I was a secretary for a fraud unit....Some things have changed, some scams are more sophisticated, but this is an old one. Go to your regular account information, get the number from there (NOT the email) and CALL. Your peace of mind is involved!

  3. That's kinda funny and scary at the same time. If it were me, I'd let them de-activate it. It's going to happen to all of them soon anyway.
